Vaccination - satu perkataan yang hangat diperkatakan sekarang, kan? It’s important that we play our part to get vaccinated against Covid-19 so that we can achieve herd immunity and keep each other safe. The same for rabies. In the last few years, Sarawak has seen a rise in rabies cases, and we need to work together to prevent unnecessary losses.

So let’s talk about rabies. All mammals - including dogs, cats and humans, can catch rabies. It’s an incurable (but preventable) virus that attacks the brain and spinal cord. A mammal catches rabies by getting bitten by, or coming into contact with the saliva of another infected animal.
Rabies CAN BE PREVENTED through vaccination, and in Sarawak, the government has a FREE anti-rabies vaccination programme for dogs, through Jabatan Perkhidmatan Verterinar Sarawak or the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak. Whatsapp / message the DVS Sarawak anti-rabies hotline at +6016-2557267 to find out where you can bring dogs and cats to get vaccinated.

Rabies boleh dicegahkan mll vaksinasi. Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar Sarawak masih lagi mengadakan program pemvaksinan anti-rabies anjing yang PERCUMA. Kitak blh whatsapp / mesej hotline anti-rabies +6016-2557267 utk maklumat lanjut.

By doing this we not only protect our beloved pets, but also ourselves, our families, our neighbours, and our home Sarawak. Sayang Sarawak ya guys ❤ Remember - rabies is preventable, and it’s our job to protect each other.
In the coming months I’ll be sharing more about the anti-rabies campaign, kalau ada apa2 soalan mengenai ni, tanya saja ya.
